Carrying For Care

Brigette and Melissa Hobbs are the sisters behind Carrying For Care, a brand created to support and fundraise for women’s health through thoughtfully designed apparel. Their passion for women’s health advocacy grew through both personal experiences and a shared commitment to supporting women’s physical and emotional wellness.

Brigette Hobbs, our Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer, served on the executive board of Pink Ribbon Initiative at UC San Diego, where she helped lead breast cancer awareness and fundraising efforts. Through this experience, she developed a strong passion for advancing women’s health and improving access to supportive resources and care. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University and aspires to become a Clinical Director specializing in reproductive, hormonal, perinatal, and postpartum mental health.

Melissa Hobbs, our Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University, where she also double-minored in Bioethics and Business Administration. Her studies strengthened her understanding of the ethical challenges surrounding women’s health, including limited healthcare access, unequal research funding, and the ways women’s health is often overlooked in broader professional and social spaces. Through Carrying For Care, Melissa hopes to combine her background in psychology, ethics, and business to help support meaningful advocacy and more equitable care for women.
